Prensa Latina news agency inaugurated its new English-language web site (www.plenglish.com), designed to make available up-to-the-minute news to English-speaking Internet readers.

PL president Frank Gonzalez announced that free access to the news service is also at www.prensa-latinaenglish.com and www.prensalatinaenglish.com.

Leonel Nodal, editor-in-chief of PL foreign language services, said that PLenglish will highlight news from Cuba, Latin America and the Caribbean, and cover important events in other regions of the world.

Besides the latest news and reports from the alternative press, the new service has special sections on economy, the arts, entertainment, science and technology, sports and tourism.
