A Cardinal of Empty Churches Enters the Papacy of A Church with an Empty Soul: Joseph Ratzinger – Benedict XVI or Benedict Arnold?

Enrique Munz, 19.04.2005 19:55

If Bush is the New Hitler is Joseph the Next Pope Plus XII to blame the Pope (s) or the Church is to commit the same sin that we believe is at the root of evil in modernism: The void from the Left and from religious leaders of all denominations on how to create the force needed to fix the world. Most leaders and Church people perpetuate a code of silence – a code that breeds fascism and denial.we agree with the Pope “The 20th century is the most evil of all of mankind's history." we see this evil growing because the Left, the alternative, the opposition to Bush and the evils of modernism is lost, confused and poorly educated

Election of Benedict XVI as Pope is an Interesting Message

Steven Leser, 19.04.2005 19:27

The BIG winners are the US Republican Party and other conservative political groups worldwide. Republican Party leaders in the US are no doubt rejoicing today.

Primate fear compromises research results

Mary Beth Sweetland, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, 18.04.2005 20:01

Like so many people, public speaking tops my list of loathsome activities. I am a fearful primate. But recently, I overcame this fear because I had an opportunity to speak to the group of people who are the only voices the animals in laboratories ever have. After repeated requests, I was finally allowed a timeslot at the national conference of Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) members in San Diego. My topic: “Primate Fear in Laboratories.”

A Globalized Culture of Ignoration: A Deepening Anti-Americanism

E Munoz, 18.04.2005 03:47

Brave Media Scour the World For Stories, In US They Scour Their Navels A great benefit to the US with the end of the Cold War (WWIII) was the decline in anti-US propaganda and documentaries (mostly Soviet). Apparently the now terminal condition of mass absentia and the erosion of historical memory enable the US to lie, torture, incarcerate and ignore or break international law at will or whim,: A Power unto itself.
The first new Pope of the XXIst Century arrives at the most evil of times. The Rise of Disaster Capitalism

Naomi Klein, 18.04.2005 03:03

"Few ideologues can resist the allure of a blank slate--that was colonialism's seductive promise: "discovering" wide-open new lands where utopia seemed possible. But colonialism is dead, or so we are told; there are no new places to discover, no terra nullius (there never was), no more blank pages on which, as Mao once said, "the newest and most beautiful words can be written." There is, however, plenty of destruction--countries smashed to rubble, whether by so-called Acts of God or by Acts of Bush (on orders from God). And where there is destruction there is reconstruction, a chance to grab hold of "the terrible barrenness," as a UN official recently described the devastation in Aceh, and fill it with the most perfect, beautiful plans."
