WAR WITHOUT WIN: A WHITE PAPER ON IRAN

WILLIAM JOHN COX, 15.03.2007 03:01

Iran, the last remnant of the Persian Empire, is presently threatened by the greatest superpower in history – the Unites States of America. The conclusion of this article is that, rather than attack, the United States should immediately reestablish diplomatic relations with Iran, negotiate unconditionally, and ensure its protection from armed attack by Israel or any other nation under a comprehensive policy that seeks to avoid the expansion of nuclear weapons to Iran and all other nations and to disarm all nations within ten years. To arrive at this solution, we and those who purport to lead us must appreciate the history of the Iranian people and have a clear understanding of the facts leading to this crisis

Women Trafficking and Its Underlying Factors

Mohan Nepali, 15.03.2007 02:21

The superficialization of human psychology through the media glamorization of women has de-focused policymakers’ and women’s mind from their core issues. The women’s movement itself has been overshadowed by media glamorization of women, being used as industrial objects.

Due to industrialization of women, their suffering has escalated and deepened. Criminalization of human society has further complicated the situation. Women trafficking are a growing crime against women, undiminishing and profiting ceaselessly.

New Political Leadership Unavoidable in Nepal

Mohan Nepali, 15.03.2007 02:13

The 16-year multiparty rule was de facto accountable to monarchy despite constitutional coloring. Following the collapse of the Panchayat regime, the Panchayat structures and mechanisms were maintained and used to serve the interests of the ruling parties. The same feudalistic formats used by monarchy were used by the ruling parties and the people were forced to face the according consequences during the post-Panchayat period.

Obviously, today (March 13, the day I wrote this) was no different.

Having applied on us invented wars and laws like tourniquets, so we wouldn't feel it, they've gorged themselves on the meat and blood of America while we watched ourselves being eaten. Now we watch as the Halliburtons, bellies bloated with cash and our children's futures, waddle off to hide as offshore enterprises. It's time we all stopped using euphemisms for 'they lied', 'they cheated', 'they stole'.

Here's some ammo.

"The more we examine the disaster that is the Bush administration’s Middle East policy, the more apparent becomes the corrosive influence of Israel, or more accurately, of those U.S. officials acting on what they construe as Israel’s best interests. Yet Congress is oddly unwilling to bring any investigative focus on the role of Israel’s fervent supporters in instigating this deepening debacle."

GENOCIDE The John Howard government's terrorist antics have been the most dangerous acts of aggression on sovereign nations for 200 years. Why wouldn't people fear some form of retaliation or false flag terrorist act now? What you do is what you get! So why do it? Why take the risk? Then tell us about the risks because of what you do? Who should be scared? John Howard should be scared at the next election. We should be scared that he was elected last time and that the mass media power help reinforce that fear by propping up a war criminal

Bush Silences Bogotá

Vanessa Burgos, 13.03.2007 00:18

Instead of the large demonstrations that have accompanied George Bush so far on his short tour of Latin America, Bush was greeted in Bogotá with an errie silence. This did not mean that Colombians do not have their share of mistrust and resentment for the U.S. President and the agreements he would like to see between the two governments. The silence in the streets of Bogotá is more indicative of the violent repression that followed up to and was clearly evident on the day of his visit.

Protests and riots caused by Bush’s visit in Colombia

Prensa Libertaria, 12.03.2007 23:06

After a tense week filled with protests in public universities and demonstrations around the country, George W. Bush arrived in Colombia. Last Sunday’s morning the US president was received by the gathering of various protesters in one of the main streets of Bogotá. The demonstration, which was initially organized by the PDA (Left Party) and other left sectors, faced great inconveniences due to the huge security unit which accompanied Bush’s visit and the constant declaration of the government announcing that all protests were forbidden. In fact, in the past few weeks the governmental authorities had managed to create a tense environment by means of continuous searches and exaggerated police and military presence around the city. In this way Bogota’s downtown was filled with antennas, cameras, snipers, the army, policemen dressed as civilians and approximately 350 riotpolicemen (ESMAD).
