Obwohl das Verbrechen im Jahr 2009 geschah, während weit mehr als 100.000 westliche Besatzungstruppen in Afghanistan waren, schrieb TIME zum Schüren von Kriegsstimmung neben dem auf der Titelseite präsentierten Bild von der verstümmelten Aisha: “Was passiert, wenn wir aus Afghanistan abziehen”.

Irgendetwas scheinen diese PR-Strategen von Eon und Co. nicht richtig verstanden zu haben. Denn eine Drohung sollte doch eigentlich zum Ziel haben, dass der Bedrohte sich in die Enge gedrängt fühlt. Genau das Gegenteil ist im aktuellen Streit um die Zukunft der Atomkraft in Deutschland aber der Fall. Wir erinnern uns: Einst beschloss die rot-grüne Regierung den Ausstieg des Landes aus der Atomkraft. Der Termin für die Abschaltung der Kraftwerke rückt von Jahr zu Jahr näher und mittlerweile ist eine Regierung aus Union und FDP an den Schalthebeln der Macht angekommen. “Wunderbar”, muss sich da die Atomlobby gedacht haben und schickte ihre besten Strategen aus, um den Ausstieg aus der Atomkraft rückgängig zu machen oder zumindest um ein paar Jährchen hinauszuschieben. Denn wir wissen: Für jeden weiteren Tag am Netz bringt solch ein Atomkraftwerk einen zusätzlichen Gewinn von einer Million Euro. Über das Jahr gerechnet kommt für die Betreiber so ein hübscher Gewinn in Milliardenhöhe heraus, sofern denn alle AKWs am Netz bleiben.
